Provides immediate stress release and a calm, clear head. Improves blood circulation and energy. Removes all kinds of blockages caused by emotional and physical stress. Prevents and reduces (old age) diseases and disorders. The term Tao Yin literally means "sending energy". Tao Yin, also known as Chinese yoga, is thousands of years old and is considered the base of Qi Gong and the ancestor of all Chinese arts of energetic movement. Wang Bing, a commentator from the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) explains Tao Yin as follows: Looking at the two words Tao and Yin as one concept, we must explain Tao Yin as "waving the tendons and bones and moving the limbs and joints." What makes Tao Yin so special and effective? It is a system that works with stretching exercises that train the intention (Yi) and focus on opening and balancing the body, both pure physically and energetically through the meridians. All movements are made as aware as possible. It's about developing body awareness through 'inner feeling, inner seeing, inner hearing'. The exercises are performed sitting or lying down. Stretching itself is performed carefully and is less extreme than in 'normal' yoga. This is mainly because the stretching is not solely focused on the muscles but also on the tendons and joints. LOCATION: "de Dam" in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. WEATHER: first time this autumn that I really felt the cold; I estimate the temperature was around 5 ⁰C. DATE/TIME: around November 10th 2011 (witness the foolish moon near the end of the movie) / around 10 PM. HIGHLIGHTS: 02:18 Vincent elaborates on the mix up on another YouTube video performance of "3 little birds" where it's entitled "Don't Worry Be Happy". 10:15 the Jimi Hendrix Red House intro used as an ending for the Redemption Song. 11:15 Like a real pro, Vincent continues flawlessly despite some female distraction :D 14:20 Dancing infant. ALSO, I am humored by the way mr. Vincent van Hessen modestly interlaces his performance with commercials :D ABOUT THE DAM SQUARE: "De Dam" pronounced "de dum" is the Dutch translation of "the dam". This dam was built in the 13th century connecting several settlements on the banks of the Amstel river. Developed around it, Amsteldam became Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. TODAY, the Dam Square still functions as a social and commercial centre of the city. Many popular attractions, such as the world famous Madame Tussauds, the renowned NH Krasnapolsky Hotel, the Royal Palace, the National Monument, the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church), the Diamond Center and more are all located on or near the square. Open Art Studios 2011 Hague - Felah says Laziness restricted her series of seven deadly sins to six paintings. At the "open ateliers Den Haag 2011", I visited the studio of Felah at the Stille Veerkade 21, 5th floor (pooh pooh :D). 1 and 2 October 2011 the Open Atelier route was held in the Old Centre of The Hague. More than 60 professional painters, sculptors, graphic artists, photographers, ceramists and textile designers welcomed us into their studios. The artists showed their abilities, their methods, their development and their finished products. Moreover, the visitor could participate in various workshops. At the "open ateliers Den Haag 2011", I visited the studio of Ping An Brouwers at the Nieuwe Molstraat 14. Ping An is known as a goldsmith and jewelry designer. Gold and silver ware is his specialty, which he also teaches. 1 and 2 October 2011 the Open Atelier route was held in the Old Centre of The Hague. More than 60 professional painters, sculptors, graphic artists, photographers, ceramists and textile designers welcomed us into their studios. The artists showed their abilities, their methods, their development and their finished products. Moreover, the visitor could participate in various workshops.
